Are you a New Zealand company?
Yes we are! We are based in Hamilton, New Zealand, and all items are dispatched from here.
Do you have a physical shop?
Unfortunately we don't, at this stage we are online only. We do pop up shops periodically, and are happy to come and have a stall at competitions if anyone wants us to - contact us if you want to chat.
I've seen these posted, what are they and how can I get involved in photo sessions?
This has become our favourite thing to do, and we are hoping to be able to do more each year!
Our photo sessions are when we get together with a group of dancers, take some photos and have lots of fun! Most of the photos on our website and on our Instagram are from these sessions.
There are a couple of ways to let us know you would be interested - first is to keep an eye out on our socials! If we are planning anything, we generally post it there to let people know. We are restricted by locations near us at this stage, but hopeful that one day we can travel a bit further!
The other way is to scroll to the bottom of any page on our website, click on Community, and apply - it will ask you to fill in your contact details and ask a couple of basic questions, and then it notifies us you are interested!
Who is able to apply?
Everybody! Anyone who loves to dance or do gymnastics is welcome. You don't have to be a competition dancer, a certain size or look - everyone is welcome in our DanceBox family.
If you are under 16 years old then you will need a parent or guardians permission, and all correspondence is done with them.
I'm interested in content creation, is this something I could do with you?
We have had dancers help us out in the past creating some content that we can share on our social pages, and we love the idea of helping to support dancers who might be interested in doing it.

What brands do you sell?
Currently we are authorised resellers for Weissman, Balera, Cosi G, Claudia Dean Dancewear, PW Dancewear, Capezio, DanzNmotion by Danshuz, Balera, Sonata Dancewear, Columbine, Manicare & Mita. This means we have an agreement with these retailers to sell their products, and are able to purchase anything from their ranges. If you have seen something you would like that we don't have on our website, get in touch!
We are constantly looking for new brands to stock, so if there is something you would like us to stock please let us know!
How can I purchase items?
When you add items to your cart, you will have the option of paying by: direct credit; debit or credit card; Apple Pay; Shop Pay; Google Pay; Afterpay; Laybuy.
If you have a custom order, then you can either send us an email, or a message through our Contact Us page with your order request, and we can then send you the payment link, which will give you all of the payment options.
I need a costume in a few days, do you have any to order from that are in stock?
We hold a number of costumes in stock that are ready to ship - they can be found here. Just select you size and you can see what is currently in stock and able to be sent quickly.
Do you have all items in stock, or do you order them in as required?
Both! We have some items that are in stock ready to go, but for some items (such as some costumes) we order them from our suppliers when you place your order. Each product page has a note at the end of the description advising if the product is in stock with the supplier, and what the estimated delivery of that is.
This means shipping times can vary between items. Standard items that are in stock can be sent within 1-2 working days once payment is received and processed. If it is at a stockist within New Zealand, then delivery time should be within 5 days. If it is in stock overseas, depending on the supplier it can take 1-2 weeks for delivery (unless otherwise stated in the product description).
What is a custom order?
Anything that you ask us to order in that we haven't got displayed on our website! These can be items from any of our suppliers. These orders still have the same exchange and return policies as all other orders - if they are not quite right, we are happy to swap!
You are Weissman stockists, are you able to order something for me?
Definitely! We have limited items displayed on our website for Weissman, but we are able to order anything off their website as long as they have it in stock - and if it is out of stock and they are making more, then we can backorder it for you.
If there is something in particular you are after, contact us so we can help! We generally order from them 1-2 times a week, so you won't have to wait too long for them to arrive.
Can you order any items from PW Dancewear?
Yes we can! We are certified retailers with PW Dancewear, so anything you see in their catalogues we can order. Please get in touch with us if there is something you would like to order that we don’t have advertised, or if you are interested in ordering an item in a particular colour or fabric.
Can you order group costumes, or do you just sell individual items?
Yes we can order costumes and dancewear for groups. Contact us through our website, or send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org, with the details for what you would like to order.
I can only see one or two sizes in an item; does this mean you don’t have other sizes in stock?
Some items we only get in limited colours and quantities, and this will be shown in the options displayed on the product pages. Generally, there will also be a note in the product description to say that this is a limited item. If you have any questions about an item, or want to know if it is possible to get another size, send us a message as sometimes there are still other limited sizes and colours available.
Exchanges & Returns
Can I return or exchange a product if it's not right?
Absolutely! We know that shopping online can be daunting at times, and for some items it can be hard to know if it will be the right fit.
We are happy to swap and exchange items if they aren't quite right, providing they have not been used - this includes shoes and costumes, as well as custom order items. The only exception to this is stockings, which due to hygiene reasons are unable to be returned.
If you need to return something, please email us first at email@example.com so we can get the replacement items underway.
Can I exchange or return a product if it was a custom order?
Yes you can! If it arrives and is not quite right we are happy to exchange sizes, swap to something else, or return if needed.
Do you offer costume hireage?
Yes we do! We have a limited range of hireage costumes and are currently building our range as we get costume requests. If there is something in particular you are looking to hire, please let us know and we will see if we are able to help and order it in for you.

Can I pay more to get express shipping?
Unfortunately we can't - this is because we already use the fastest shipping we can!
We know how hard it can be to wait when you have ordered something, or that events can be coming up soon and you need the items urgently, so we express ship all our incoming shipments from overseas and use overnight shipping within New Zealand. This is what our standard flat rate shipping costs cover.
Do you ship to Australia?
Yes, we now offer shipping to Australia!
Shipping to Australia can add an extra 3-7 days on top of the delivery estimates on product pages (depending on how fast the courier can get them to you). We use DHL Express to ship to Australia, so we can get your items to you as fast as possible.
Do you ship to other countries?
At this stage, shipping to Australia is the only international shipping we can provide, and we are unable to ship to other countries.
